As part of the Tasmanian Government’s ongoing commitment to Hobart’s iconic waterfront, Princes Wharf will be renewed to make it a dynamic public place for the people of Tasmania.

Princes Wharf will be transformed to make a public space that will be suitable for a variety of public activities and events.

The Tasmanian Government wants to engage you in developing its plan for the renewal of Princes Wharf.

The area intended to be initially renewed includes Princes Wharf Shed 1 and its immediate surrounds including the forecourt car park and part of Castray Esplanade. To ensure that current port operations are not compromised, it does not include the apron from Shed 1 to the water, nor does it include the area between Shed 1 and Shed 2 known as "the paddock".
